Small Space For Install in Aurora, OH
This house was part of a real estate transaction in Aurora, OH. Due to the layout of this house and the location of a porch, we had to put our system in a very tight utility room. We decided to put our pipe right into the sump pit. However in front of the sump pit there were various tanks for the water softening system, which blocked the sump in all directions. Plus there was an air filtration unit put over a side of the sump. This made putting a sealed lid on the pit extremely difficult. Usually we would put a bead of silicone around the edge but because of the inaccessibility we instead used our spray foam gun which worked extremely well. We also cut our pipe going into the sump pit and put a rubber coupling in so that whenever the sump needed serviced, our system wouldn't be in the way and could be taken apart. Overall, the design we went with allowed us not inhibit any future repairs on the surrounding units, while also allowing our system to greatly reduce the radon levels.
